Terms of Service – Moxmo

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Moxmo ("the Service") at moxmo.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid subscribers.

2. Description of Service

Moxmo is a recurring expense tracking tool that helps you identify, organize, and reduce your monthly expenses. Features include manual expense entry, AI-powered analysis, and optional bank account synchronization via Plaid.

3. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address and create a password to use Moxmo. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service.

4. Free and Pro Plans

Free Plan: Allows up to 10 manually entered expenses. AI analysis and bank sync are not available on the free plan.

Pro Plan: $9.99/month, billed monthly. Includes unlimited expense tracking, AI-powered savings analysis, and bank account synchronization via Plaid. We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

5. Payments and Cancellation

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal accessible from within the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.

6. Bank Account Connection (Plaid)

Pro users may connect bank accounts via Plaid. By connecting your bank, you authorize Moxmo and Plaid to access your transaction data for the purpose of identifying recurring expenses. You may disconnect your bank at any time. Use of Plaid is also subject to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy.

7. AI Analysis

AI analysis is provided for informational purposes only. Recommendations generated by our AI are not financial advice. You are solely responsible for any financial decisions you make based on information provided by the Service.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to: violate any applicable laws, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service, or interfere with other users' access to the Service. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Intellectual Property

The Moxmo name, logo, and all associated content are the property of Moxmo and its operators. You retain ownership of the data you enter into the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moxmo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Minnesota.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
